EASI's Publications

Easi publishes several newsletters concerning aging and the environment and a resource guide for environmental projects across America. These publications will be available here in electronic form. Some of the publications here are saved in the Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) and thus a browser plug-in is required to properly view these documents. Although the current issues of EASI's regularly scheduled publications are available for viewing by the public, the back and archive issues along with many of EASI's specialty publications are not. Sustainable Communities Review - Sponsored by the Center for Public Service at the University of North Texas. Sustainable Communities Review is dedicated to the understanding and expansion of the concept and creation of sustainable communities in all parts of the world. The Review seeks to broaden the traditional focus of sustainable development to include other dimensions of community life that promote sustainability, such as empowerment, education, enterprise, and environment. 

How to Build an EASI Senior Environment Corps - A guide to creating a Senior Environment Corps in your own community. Written by Tom Benjamin, president of EASI, it offers valuable tips and advice. The first two chapters are avaible here, the complete document may be obtained from EASI. 

Resource Guide to Volunteer Environmental Programs - A Network of Volunteer Stewardship: EASI's Guide to Senior Envnironmental Programs (1999)

EASI Does It! Feb. 2000 - EASI Does It is brought to you 4 times a year by the Environmental Alliance for Senior Involvement. It is hoped that this newsletter will demonstrate the valuable resources we have in our seniors and will encourage more organizations to establish Senior Environment Corps.

Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Field Manual - The Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Field Manual has been compiled by The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education and the Environmental Alliance for Senior Involvement. This guide can be used as a resource for volunteers involved in water quality assessments.

EASI Annual Report - EASI's annual report, published annually. 

 Summary of EASI Strategic Plan, 2-21-01 -  The mission of the Environmental Alliance for Senior Involvement is to build, promote, and utilize the environmental ethic, expertise, and commitment of older persons to expand citizen involvement in protecting and caring for our environment for present and future generations.
